You never know what he is gonna play. Enjoy HIM!
You have to understand Todd is having fun. Have FUN with him! He usually is informal and may play a hit or play something funny. He it more of an evening hanging with Todd, than a greatest hits show. He loves Campy Tiki 50's/60's stuff, so lighten up and laugh with him. He may play some hits and stuff form the 60's to 2017. You never know. Just remember, you are hanging with Todd and have Fun!

Todd Rundgren and Utopia was fun!
It was a fun time and went with my wife, and her sister and husband. A little wilder music than what they would normally enjoy. But we all had a wonderful time, and Todd was funny and very enthusiastic. Great show and musicians. I think I saw Todd and Utopia many moons ago and he still is a great entertainer and guitarist/vocalist,. Kasim and Ralph were great too! Like to see a different album presentation next time. Utopia was rockin! And I still like Dodge Theater. Great place.

Yes, Virginia, there IS a Utopia.....
From the beginning strains of "Utopia" theme to the pounding of "Hammer in my Heart", Utopia brought back the sound of true Prog/Power Rock like they OWNED it. An eclectic and decidedly-older crowd welcomed the seasoned veterans to the stage and were immediately rewarded with an hour+ of early progressive material from the first two Utopia releases. I found "The Ikon" to sound extraordinarily fresh and compelling, and I loved hearing songs from RA for the first time in years. After a brief intermission, the band came back with a barrage of hits from a multitude of albums, including "Back on the Street" from Oops!, "Last of the New Wave Riders" from Adventures and "Monument" from POV. Rundgren, Sulton, Wilcox & Co. could've played another 2 hours and STILL not covered all the favorites, but it was a grand evening nonetheless (well, LESS one Roger Powell on keyboards, but Gil Assayas was fantastic in his own right!). A marvelous reunion that was appreciated by all who were lucky enough to attend.....

UTOPIA @ The Town Hall NYC 5/3/18
With the exception of one date in L.A. in 1992, Utopia have not toured in the US since 1985. In 2018 they did not miss a beat - - like they never stopped playing together... The show was awesome. The set was a perfect mix of the entire of the history of UTOPIA, the sound was great and the mood, unforgettable!!! Please swing around again UTOPIA!!!

Utopia is back!
I never thought I'd see it but there they were in all their glory, as on as ever, in fine voice and playing like it was yesterday, but with today's maturity and heft. Great show and special mention to Kassim Sultan, whose wonderful voice and talents were prominently displayed throughout the show and, for me, made the concert! Thank You Todd, Kassim, Willie and Ralph!

Todd Rundgren at Town Hall
Todd & the original Utopia guys were fantastic! They sounded every bit as good as they did 'back in the day'...in some ways even better. The energy levels of Todd, Willie & Kasim were right up there, and they played the music with a lot of passion. Todd, being unmistakably Todd.....pulled a great surprise when out of nowhere, in the middle of the set started playing 'Somewhere' from West Side Story!! & he played and sang that great!! A great evening of great music!! Really appreciated Todd getting Utopia back together and on the road for this.....Major!

Utopia - Blast from the Past
I think I saw Todd and company about 36 years ago in Phila. They still sound great. Todd's voice is still there as is Kasim's. They sounded great and played many tunes that brought back memories. Of the two sets, the second was the one I would think will resonate most for concertgoers. First set was more proggy. The show was a tad bit shmaltzy, but that's about my only criticism. Enjoy. PS - a couple bonuses - An ELO tune and one from West Side Story...imagine that!

A trip down Memory Lane
I enjoyed this show. It reminded me of why I was a fan. There was a good mix from both the prog rock Utopia and the pop Utopia. Gil Assayas fit in well. All in all, a good show. The Town Hall charged $10 for a diet coke, which I found excessive.

A GR8 show, a blast from the past PLUS Fantastic sound, awesome song performances, crowd appreciation, small venue, nice VIP swag, loved the signed poster, great memories, flashbacks to Cleveland, Ohio shows @ Agora Ballroom, Coliseum...PRICELESS!
Todd Rundgren on Tour
Fans never know what to expect from a Todd Rundgren show, which is a testament to his range as a musician. For example, his "The Individualist, A True Star" tour was named so because of its unique format: Along with a set of hits, Rundgren also performed a side of his seminal 1973 LP A Wizard, a True Star. In cities with multiple shows booked, the musician played a different side of the album each night.
No matter where Rundgren's creative muse takes him on a given tour, what stands out is his voice — an instrument that can handle both growling rock and blue-eyed soul — and his charismatic stage presence. Thanks to this versatility, Rundgren has also toured as part of Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band and, as a solo artist, opened for Hall & Oates and teamed up with Joe Jackson for a co-headlining tour. In 2019, he joined forces with the Monkees' Micky Dolenz, Christopher Cross and Badfinger's Joey Molland for the "It Was Fifty Years Ago Today – A Tribute to the Beatles' White Album" tour.
Todd Rundgren in Concert
Todd Rundgren first broke into the music business in the late '60s with the band Nazz, for whom he wrote "Open Your Eyes" and "Hello It's Me." He then released several solo albums, including 1972's Something/Anything? (which featured a re-recording of "Hello It's Me") and then founded the rock band Utopia, a group that drew on prog, power-pop and new wave. In 1983, Rundgren released one of his best-known songs, "Bang the Drum All Day."
In addition to his own work, Rundgren is also a well-respected studio artist who's produced albums for Hall & Oates, XTC, Psychedelic Furs and Meat Loaf. Rundgren has also continued to release solo albums, including 2017's White Knight, which featured guest spots from Robyn, Joe Walsh and Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor.
