Timmy Trumpet Live in Concert
Timothy Smith, the man behind "Timmy Trumpet," was born in 1982 in Sydney, Australia. Soon after he was born, he fell in love with the trumpet. When he was only 4 years old, his father began giving him lessons on the instrument. Timmy Trumpet quickly showed musical promise and was named "Young Musician of the Year" at age 13.
His ability on the trumpet provided a wealth of opportunities, including a full scholarship to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. During his time there, he met and learned underneath Anthony Heinrich, a musician from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Not soon after, he became the leading solo trumpet player in the Australian All Star Stage Band.
When Smith turned 28, he began going by the moniker "Timmy Trumpet." During this time, he also performed with the Stafford Brothers and began to experiment with other instruments and music before ultimately teaching himself how to DJ.
Even though Timmy Trumpet experienced success throughout Australia, it wasn't until his hit song "Freaks" debuted in 2015 that he garnered attention from around the globe.
Today, Timmy Trumpet continues to tour around the world as a DJ and master trumpet player.
