What are the general rules of The Gabba?
Management reserves the right to prohibit entry and evict persons who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol; are disorderly; or engage in inappropriate behaviour, vandalism or evade admission. Any breach of rules may be reported to Police. Management has the right to refuse entry to patrons carrying prohibited items or to confiscate those items. Bag searches are conducted at entry gates, so you will need to queue if you bring a bag. Please consider this when planning your arrival time to a game. By entering the Gabba you agree to retain your ticket at all times and follow any lawful staff instruction. For full details on the Gabba’s conditions of entry, please visit www.thegabba.org.au WHAT CAN BE TAKEN INTO THE GROUND: - The bags are to be no more than 40 cm high, 40 cm long and 40cm wide; They are soft to the touch i.e. able to be squeezed in the hand - Water and non-alcoholic beverages in plastic or cardboard packages which have not been previously opened. - Food, but not in packaging that could be used as a projectile ie pizza box - Tea or coffee thermos (which will be checked) - Binoculars and personal cameras WHAT CANNOT BE TAKEN INTO THE GROUND: - Camel-packs and hard eskies of any size are not permitted into the ground. Management suggests the use of soft sided bags (six-pack size), open top fabric bags (such as green supermarket bags) or clear plastic bags in order to abide by the conditions of entry; - Deliveries and product from external caterers are not permitted; - Folding Chairs; - Alcohol – Fines apply to patrons caught trying to smuggle alcohol into the venue; - Crockery, cans, opened bottles, glass containers, dangerous or illegal substances, flares, fireworks, laser pointers, loud hailers and musical instruments including horns and whistles; - Flags and flagpoles displaying political or offensive messages; - Potential weapons such as knives, chains, studded belts, etc; - Any items which are regarded as offensive, or which can be used as a projectile or create litter (this includes pizza cartons, streamers, confetti and ticker-tape); - Items, which in the opinion of Management, have the potential to cause injury or are a nuisance or inconvenience to any other person; and - Oversized items will not be permitted into the venue, that is items which are unable to fit under your seat. - The Gabba is a licensed venue. Alcoholic beverages must not be taken into or out of the Gabba. It is an offence for minors to purchase or consume alcohol or for persons to supply alcohol to minors. Alcohol may only be consumed in clearly marked areas of the venue. Fines apply to patrons who attempt to bring alcohol into the venue.
