BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Chop Tops were formed in Santa Cruz, CA in 1996 by singer and drummer Sinner, a passionate young rockabilly fan seeking an outlet for his diverse musical tastes. Sinner and the band quickly established themselves in local circles with their unique blend of surf rock, psychobilly, and punk. In 1999 guitarist Shelby joined the band, and together he and Sinner led the group to its full potential in the '00s, releasing benchmark albums like Tales of Hot Rods, Hot Broads & Lucky Odds! (1999) and Triple Deuces (2006). Their rollicking sound and frenetic live performances were matched by their authentic rockabilly image, which earned them product endorsements including Murray's Pomade and T.U.K. shoes. Upright bassist Josh joined the fray in 2014, adding another unique element to the band's already-eclectic setup. A hard-charging live act known for their incredible live performances and commitment to rockabilly culture, The Chop Tops continue to entertain and enflame on their red-hot tours.
