Phabo on Tour
Modern R&B and the '90s neo-soul movement are combined by the silky voice of Phabo. The American-born R&B artist soulfully sings tracks reminiscent of years past. Phabo is set to commence his fall 2022 tour, making stops in Georgia, Texas and California. His live performances are filled with melodic beats and personal yet reliable lyrics that remind one of loves found and lost. First emerging onto the music scene in 2020 with his six-track EP Free, Phabo released his debut album, Soulquarius in 2021. The name was an homage to the famed Soulquarians collective of experimental Black music artists active during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Phabo then released his five-song EP Before I Let Her Go in 2022, which included the popular tracks "Long Overdue," "Luv Me Back" and "The Web."
Phabo Live in Concert
Born in San Diego, California, Phabo found music early in his life, being gifted a red drum set when he was young. Phabo then moved to Florida at 8 years old and back to California when he was 16, all while taking music lessons for drum, piano and guitar. Phabo continued with music into his teens by playing clarinet for his high school's jazz band. His influences growing up consisted of R&B and hip-hop stars, such as Iman Omari, Jesse Boykins III, Overdoz, Lil Wayne, and Fat Joe. With the help of producers Kyle For Now and Louie Lastic, Phabo began creating his first album, Soulquaris. During a period of musical uncertainty for the album, his previously released songs began to receive some traction online and Phabo found his footing. In an interview with VICE Phabo said, "Attention started coming and I'm like, 'Oh. People are really holding me to my word.'" With more than 450,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and top song "4k" with more than 5.5 million streams, Phabo is a strong up-and-comer in the R&B music sphere.
