Ott on Tour
Making smooth and psychedelic electronic music, Ott has been taking audiences on an inward journey since 2002. Originally from London, Ott produces synth-heavy dub, ambient, trip-hop, and electronica with a deep, wubby sound. Ott has commenced his 2023 North American tour, which features 27 stops across the United States, including a stop at the Gem & Jam Festival in Tucson, Arizona; and Sonic Bloom Festival in Colorado; plus dates in Austin, New York City, Baltimore, Atlanta, multiple stops in California, and more. Ott's live concerts are a blend of melodic and downtempo dub and a groovy ambient sound that will transport you to another world as you bop your head and sway with the crowd. Don't expect an uptempo, fist-bumping live show. Ott wants to give audiences a hypnotic psychedelic experience complete with trippy visuals to match. Ott made his name working on projects for Twisted Records, including various collaborations with the label's founder, Simon Posford (Hallucinogen). The first project he released was Hallucinogen -- In Dub (2002), in which he remixed six classic Hallucinogen songs. Ott's first album, Blumenkraft, was released in 2003, followed by Skylon (2008), both of which were released on Twisted Records. Following Skylon, Ott went fully independent, releasing music under his own Ottsonic label. The first of his independent releases was Mir (2011), succeeded by the live album Ott & the All-Seeing I (Live At Terminal West) (2013), then Fairchildren (2015), and 2022's Heads. A few months later, he released two singles "Baby Robot" and "Mr. Balloon Hands."
Ott Live in Concert
Having spent the '90s as a freelance studio engineer, Ott was inspired by the underground psychedelic trance scene in the UK and began producing under the stage name Ott, which was a reference to ethnobotanist Jonathan Ott. Ott has performed at some of the most popular music festivals around the world, such as Glastonbury, Tipper And Friends, Wakaan Music Festival, and Tree of Life, to name a few. Some of Ott's most popular songs on streaming platforms are "The Queen Of All Everything," which has amassed more than 14 million streams on Spotify, along with "Rogue Bagel," "One Day I Wish To Have This Kind Of Time," "Unit Delta Plus," and "Hello, My Name Is..." -- which each have more than 2 million streams on the platform.
