Kansas was Great!

I really enjoyed the show. I had not seen Kansas perform since the early 90s when Steve Morse was with them but I thought they did a great show. Only 2 original members--Phil Ehart and Rich Williams--are in the band but they did a great job with the vocals. Ronnie Platt hit some of the crazy high vocals Steve Walsh originally did and sounded good doing it. Billy Greer did a great job with the harmonizing vocals and leads Robbie Steinhardt originally did. David Ragsdale played a mean violin and did some guitar riffs that were pretty good! All in all they sounded great! My only complaint is they only played about 90 minutes--and that was including a pretty long callback encore to play "Carry On Wayward Son". We paid about $90 each for front-row seats and I think they could have easily done 2 hours with familiar material.

Amazing concert! They put on quite a show! Non stop music! CY Stephens...always a fabulous venue!

Kansas! My favorite concert ever!

The Kansas concert was super fun. They play great music that you know with such energy and showmanship. I've never had more fun at a concert.

Kansas in Iowa (Ames)

The Kansas concert at Stephens Auditorium was fantastic. It was an hour and a half of constant music. No time was wasted on talking, just one song after the other. Every song was a showcase for the band’s enormous talent. It was a little too loud but earplugs solved that problem. The venue was comfortable with plenty of leg room. The only negative about the venue was climbing too many steps and lack of restrooms. Kansas rocked! They are a must see group!

Kansas at the Egg Albany

I love concerts at the Egg. It is an intimate venue and very easy to get into/out of. I also am a fan of Kansas but unfortunately, I feel the current crew did not do justice to the songs that I love. During Dust in the Wind, you were unable to hear the vocals (may have been a mixing issue). The only song they really did well was Point of Know Return which was the only song they performed in the encore.

Kansas - They still got it !!

They played all the fan favorites and even dusted off some slightly obscure songs. Greta musicianship and vocals. The two leads sounded like the original pair who are no longer with the band.

Excellent performance, albeit a touch short

This was the 2018 Radio Hits and Classic Songs tour which sadly clocked in at just under 90 minutes. The Leftoverture and Point of Know Return tours early and coming up in the fall of 2018 run about 2 hours. The band is in fine form and have not lost a step in their 45 year career. Original members Phil Ehert & Rich Williams (drums and guitar respectively) have been there since the debut in 1974. Bass player Billy Greer joined in the mid-80s and David Ragsdale in the mid-90s, so 4/6 of the band has twenty plus years in. Newbies on second guitar and Robbie on vocals and keys are great additions and help deliver the songs accurately and brilliantly. Excellent show and highly recommended. Can't wait to see them again!

Kansas is still amazing!

This was our second show at The Egg and it certainly did not disappoint. We love the intimacy of the venue-and the leg room! Kansas was fabulous from beginning to end and the acoustics and lighting were both excellent. We will be back for more shows-keep up the great work!

Kansas was everything I thought it would be!

I grew up listening to bands like Kansas, so when a chance to get a ticket plus a meet & greet presented itself, I jumped at the chance. The Egg is a great little venue, more intimate than big music venues, but it has a great sound! The acoustics are really good. I sat in the 2nd row for the show, and it was great being up close and seeing everything (the detail of the artists' fingers playing their instruments), and the clear expressions of the artists singing. It's just a great place to see a show - I have yet to be disappointed. I haven't seen a bad show there, and probably never will! The pricing is good, none of that over-inflated pricing with taxes, fees, etc. I can't recommend this theater enough.
