Arcade Fire brings it!
Outstanding show! Lasers, strobe and effects/videos on big screen all in perfect synchronization with an amazingly tight 9 person band. Wow. Just spectacular.

Great show in Milwaukee, WI
I'm not a huge fan of the amphitheater at Summerfest but from what I hear they are redoing it in the next year anyway. The sound is okay but not the greatest. We purchased grass seats which included general admission to Summerfest but because the show didn't sell very well, we got upgraded to bleachers. The tickets got double booked so we had to be moved to another area which was fine because no one was around. The show itself was great, Arcade Fire played for two solid hours. They mixed it up with hits from all of their albums. Great lighting and costumes/clothes. One of my favorite things about them is they always seem to be enjoying what they're doing. Like they aren't faking it for the money. I saw them play in Chicago in October and they had just as much energy 10 months later in the tour.

Arcade Fire was incredible
This was my first time seeing Arcade Fire and they give U2 a run for their money in terms of concert performance. While they don't match U2's video walls they use these days, Arcade Fire had a stellar use of lights and their own video screens with carefully-curated artsy video accompaniment. My only complaint was that they overlaid so much artwork or distortion that for someone like me who was far back, the band itself was obscured and less visible until the later songs which had fewer effects. The set list on the Everything Now tour was dreamy as I never would have expected 4 songs played from their first album, Funeral. Regarding the venue, I took off a star because the restrooms could use refreshing in terms of cleanliness and appearance. Something was off with the attendance for this show. The grass section was closed off and people were given seats in the partially-filled bleacher section, where I sat. The lower sections were empty on both sides, so this was perhaps 75% full. So, perhaps Milwaukee is not a full-on Arcade Fire city, perhaps reports of a sold-out show were incorrect and ticket scalpers could not effectively unload all the tickets purchased (I went for best-available seats on the day of the sale and ended up in the bleachers), or perhaps the price-point was just a bit too high and lowering it by $15 would have meant a full audience.

Surprisingly Fantastic
Wasn’t sure what to expect before the show. Was just hoping it wasn’t awful. Turned out to be one of the best shows I have ever seen. Arcade Fire really knows how to entertain! Amazing show

Meh
The band made a very exciting entrance through the crowd, but when they began playing it was clear (or should I say unclear) that the sound was way off -- mushy and muted yet way, way overblown in terms of decibel level. Don't know if it was the venue which is cave like or the sound system or a combination of the two. Too bad.

My soul is happy
The venue was just okay, somewhat expected from an outdoor amphitheater. I wouldn’t miss arcade fire for anything though, they put on such a good show no matter the venue. Love them so much. It’s a very special experience to see them live and definitely recommend it.

Fan for Life
Arcade Fire was AMAZING. There is no doubt they put on one of the best live shows I have seen. I have a couple of hang ups about the event and venue. Since this was the last day of Summerfest, they announced free admission (I assume to get the numbers up). I also noticed they were upgrading lawn tickets into the bleachers at no charge (the lawn ended up being closed). In the end I had paid about $80 each for two tickets in the bleachers, so to see people upgraded for free kind of got to me especially seeing that the next seats up from the bleachers were not filled (whole sections). The bleachers for this venue are also not spacious. We were packed in like sardines until the show started and then everyone started to disperse into the unfilled seats. This was my first time to this venue and I will buy earlier next time to get better seating. I would love to see them in Milwaukee again!

ARCADE FIRE IN CONCERT:
Arcade Fire are the undisputed poster band of indie rock's ascendancy in the musical mainstream, proving with each successive album that it's possible to be both a critical darling and a populist favorite. For 2013's Reflektor, the band teamed up with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem to record their most ambitious collection of songs yet, topping charts — and critics' best-of lists — around the world. As revered for their frenzied live shows as they are for their records, the band has fans eagerly awaiting the 2014 Reflektor Tour, which includes headlining slots at Coachella and Glastonbury.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
" Had heard so much about how electrifying their live performances were. It wasn't hype. This band puts it all out on the stage. I'll see them again...and again...and again!”
" A huge fan of Arcade Fire and they did not disappoint. Absolutely love their presence. The show was unbelievable."
" The show was amazingly energetic! It was without a doubt one of the best shows I've ever seen."
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
When Arcade Fire released their debut full-length Funeral in 2004, critics hailed it as an instant classic, heaping big praise — and even bigger expectations — on the Canadian art rockers. The band delivered on the hype, topping charts around the world in 2007 with Neon Bible and again in 2010 with Suburbs, dark horse winner of Album of the Year at the 2011 Grammy Awards. In 2013 the band released Reflektor to yet another No. 1 spot on the BIllboard 200, also making time amid their busy touring schedule to provide the score for Spike Jonze's film Her.
