Young trumpeter-composer Ambrose Akinmusire and his quintet come to Australia for the first time. Signed to Blue Note Records, the prodigious Californian creates mind-blowing music that the New York Times has described as “limber, straight-ahead jazz with mystery and pop instincts”.
