Awesome Show
It was great to see a show in my home town. The installations had great accoustics and the seats were comfortable. The show's venu was deversified offering three groups within a reasonable price range. It was a sold house. It reminded me of my earlier years of attending a Rock Concert The artists being in their senior days still managed to pull a spectacular performance! The crowd being present all along made it a wounderfull evening.

3 outstanding performances
First time seeing Tesla. Didn't know what to expect but was impressed and would see them again. Saw Joan Jett several years ago and I felt she was more energetic this time, and that's saying a lot. Have seen Styx several times and they never disappoint. High energy on vocals and instruments. Tommy Shaw is worth the price of admission by himself,Lawrence Gowan is a bundle of energy and great to see Chuck Panozzo still hanging in despite his health issues. If they come this way again next year, I'll be there.

Awesome Show at an Awesome Venue!
Outstanding live show of one hit after another! Tesla opened the show with a great forty-minute set of no frills meat-n-potatoes blue-collar rock-n-roll! I've seen them as the opener about 10 times and they never disappoint! Next up: Joan Jett. I'll admit I'm not a huge Joan Jett fan (I know her radio hits), her energy and stage presence radiated from the stage for the next hour. She is still getting it done at age 60! After the final gear switch-over, Styx took the stage and killed it. Not sure how many times I've seen Styx (maybe 20?), and I'm still amazed at how tight the band, especially the three and four-part harmonies. Styx played a full set of their radio rock hits, sprinkled in with a few cuts from their new album "The Mission". And they are *finally* playing 'Mr. Roboto' live! My only complaint is that Gowan's piano solo and vocal sing-along is getting tired and dated, seems to be the same thing show-after-show year-after-year, but I understand it gets the crowd involved while the rest of the band takes a break. I'd love to see him play a re-interpreted Styx song with piano and vocals only, could be a cool solo focal point during the show. The acoustics in the venue we *awesome*, which is a great compliment to the FOH guys, sounded amazing where we were (5th row on the floor, just left of center). Getting in and out of Place Bell was super easy (we paid $10CAN to park in the shopping mall across the street)! One of the nicest and most modern venues that I've been into in a long time! Well worth the 5 1/2 drive to Laval!!! FIVE STARS for the show and the venue!

Styx delivered in style
First time at the place Bell. Great venue for a concert. Sound was very good. Styx put on a great show. They played a few from their new album but the rest were all the classics. Gowan brings an amazing energy to the group with his antics on stage. All my favorites were performed. I only heard positive feedback after the show. Joan Jett was also very good.

Show of the year
Caught Styx a few weeks ago at the Pavillion. Just wanted to drop a quick review of the tour. First let me say that I own a regional size sound and light production company, and do shows for a living. I will see 100 stages this year. I'm fully convinced that this will turn out to be the best show I will see all year. Good job everyone involved.

Joan Jett & Styx
Joan Jett never disappoints. She plays almost non stop and you hear all the songs you expect to hear. Styx sounded great and sampled heavily from Grand Illusion and Paradise Theater. A wonderful 4 hour show!

Styx, Joan Jett, Tesla
It was a good show. Styx played half of The Grand Illusion album and had the original bass player on stage for much of the show.

Styx is better than ever!
grew up with Styx and could not have been a better concert. Also had a meet and greet I don't know if Giant Center people running or Styx people but they were very kind professional and moved it along wonderfully. Styx was high energy

Styx was awesome. However, we all felt the sound was "off" during Joan Jett concert. She was good but the sound didn't seem just right

Don Felder and Styx were AWESOME !!!
What a great concert by Don Felder and Styx ! For a group of guys about my age, they still have it rocking and rolling. I've been to a couple of Eagles concerts, and Don Felder and his band really did a great job of creating that same classic musical style. My favorite song was Hotel California, and the guitar playing by Don at the end of this song. Styx brought their high energy music to the stage and were absolutely great ! You could feel the energy of the music. I had to get a Styx DVD, so that I could listen to them again and again. We had a group of 5 of us go to this concert, and everyone had a great time. We needed to get my brother into a handicap area because he had a recent surgery that required him to be in a wheelchair. The people at The Wharf venue were very accommodating to help us get an accessible place for him and our group to watch this concert together. This was my first concert at The Wharf, and I was very impressed with this venue. I'll definitely be coming back !
After forming in 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, while in high school, Styx steadily toured and expanded from a three-piece to a quintet during the 60s, signing with local record label Wooden Nickel Records in 1972, and releasing their self-titled debut that year. 1973’s Styx II and The Serpent Is Rising followed, as well as 1974’s Man of Miracles, further refining their output as they transitioned from straight-forward rock n roll into a more progressive rock, incorporating psychedelic flourishes and experimental structuring, as well as hard rock guitars, powerful ballads and theatrical elements. They signed with A&M Records, releasing Equinox in 1975, and subsequently 1976’s Crystal Ball and 1977’s The Grand Illusion, their breakout album that sold over 3 million copies propelled by singles Come Sail Away and Fooling Yourself. In 1981, Styx released Paradise Theatre, a concept album chronicling the fictional rise and fall of the Chicago theatre, which became their fourth consecutive triple-platinum album, reached #1 on the Billboard charts, and spawned five singles, including top ten hits The Best of Times and Too Much Time on My Hands. Next was 1983’s full-fledged rock opera Kilroy Was Here, which featured synthesizer and vocoder-driven Mr. Roboto and the power ballad Don’t Let It End. Following a half-decade separation in the 80s and a brief break-up in the 90s, Styx’s 1996 tour Return to Paradise was a success, and since then have continued releasing albums and satisfying ticket holders at concerts around the world with the likes of Def Leppard, Foreigner and Boston. Over the course of their career, Styx has played many famous venues, like Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion and Madison Square Garden.
