renforshort on Tour
The mystifying pop star Lauren Isenberg is kicking off her international Dear Amelia Tour in the fall of 2022. Better known by renforshort, Isenberg's 21-stop tour will begin in Canada and end in Germany, with stops in the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. This tour follows the 2022 release of her album, Dear Amelia. Self-described as "tastefully weird," her music beautifully captures the essence of personal reflection, making it relatable to all that listen. Falling under the indie pop/alternative rock genre, renforshort came into the spotlight in 2019 with the release of her singles "Waves'' and "Mind Games," leading the young pop star's singles to go viral, amassing more than 5 million streams. Soon after her early success, Ren (the name she was going by at the time) was signed to Geffen Records. Beginning to work right after her first record deal, the newly dubbed renforshort released her first EP Teenage Angst in 2020. She then released her second EP Off Saint Dominique in 2021, and finally released her debut album Dear Amelia in 2022. Renforshort currently has over 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with her 2020 single, "F***, I luv my friends" leading her viral fame with over 13 million streams.
Born in Toronto in 2002, renforshort's childhood was filled with piano and singing lessons, musical theater and writing stories. Isenberg began her career by writing her own songs at 13. Although always interested in singing, renforshort made her decision to make a career out of singing after an open mic-night in 2016 at only 14 years old. Listening to her parents' albums during her childhood, renforshort was inspired by Bob Dylan and Amy Winehouse. Along with these famous musicians, renforshort says her music is also inspired by films like Coraline and Call Me By Your Name. Renforshort has made critically acclaimed success by appearing on Apple Music's Artist of Week list in May of 2019, as well as Soundcloud's Artists to Watch list in August of 2019. Hitting the big screen, renforshort's song "AfterThoughts'' made it onto the soundtrack for the Disney movie Clouds.
