Ray Volpe on Tour
Ray Volpe is singlehandedly inspiring new innovations in the dubstep genre. When Volpe entered the EDM scene in 2021, he quickly reignited the culture's love for prominent bass lines and syncopated drum patterns. When the Los Angeles-based producer and DJ released his breakout hit, "Laserbeam" in June 2022, it was widely considered the best dubstep record of the year and signaled a new era of versatility for the genre with EDM.com dubbing him a "tour de force". Volpe enjoyed the ultimate compliment when "Laserbeam" became an EDM staple at events throughout the year and the most played track at EDC Las Vegas in 2022. The hit even made No. 1 on Beatport's Dubstep Chart and on the iTunes Electronic Chart. His evocative reputation has also led to collaborations with the best in EDM, from Marshmello, Nghtmre and Sullivan King to remixes for Excision, Illenium, Dabin, and Zomboy.
Ray Volpe Live in Concert
Shortly after Volpe received EDM.com's highest honor of a spot on the Class of 2022 list, he announced his latest release, Legend of the Volpetron along with a headlining tour that began in summer 2022. Supporting acts on the tour include celebrated producers Grabbitz, Soltan and Fransis Derelle. Released by Disciple records, Volpe told EDM.com that Legend of the Volpetron was made from a desire to, "mash everything I love about music into one body of work." At the 2022 Lost Lands Music Festival, Volpe played the Thornville, Ohio, festival for a 13,000-strong audience alongside Rusko -- who is considered one of the most influential dubstep producers of all time.
