Blossoms are an extended haze of positivity, possibility and capability that will delight concertgoers of all ages.
A mix of '60s pop and contemporary indie-rock, with hints of psychedelic flair, Blossoms' music is catchy, upbeat and pulsing with an infectious energy that is sure to get you moving. Unashamedly indie, this UK-based band is quickly making a name for themselves with their catchy pop hooks and sun-drenched sound.
Formed in 2013, the five-piece Stockport-based band consists of Charlie Salt (lead vocals, bass guitar), Josh Dewhurst (lead guitar, backing vocals), Joe Donovan (drums, percussion), and Myles Kellock (keyboards, synthesizers). The group's self-titled debut album was released in 2016 and reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. Since then, they've been nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Breakthrough Act and released four studio albums that have been met with acclaim.
Blossoms have continued to build on their early success, releasing a string of well-received singles and touring extensively throughout the UK and Europe. With their catchy blend of pop, rock and indie-influenced sound, Blossoms have quickly established themselves as one of the most promising young bands in the UK music scene.
The band's second album, Cool Like You, was released in 2018 and reached No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart, featuring the singles "There's a Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls)," "I Can't Stand It" and How Long Will This Last?"
Foolish Loving Spaces (2020) became the band's second No. 1 album, and Ribbon Around the Bomb (2022) gave them their third No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart.
Ribbon Around the Bomb received immensely positive reviews due to its maturity, growth and depth, positioning the band as reflective, adventurous and ambitious, constantly pushing themselves to create new, innovative music that borrows from various genres. Their willingness to take risks and explore other sides of themselves makes them so endearing to their fans.
With each album release, they seem to be blossoming into something even more special, and with even greater potential. One of the band's goals is to strike a balance between catchiness and quirkiness, between radio-friendly anthems and left-field oddities. Ultimately, they want to create a unique sonic world that is all their own -- one you'll definitely want to be a part of. Get tickets to see Blossoms on tour at Ticketmaster.
